We have moved on from our short story assignment to an Independant Novel Study. Some of you have selected a novel. Others have not. Everyone must select a novel to work on. There are many different options for you. Please see me if you need assistance finding a novel you will enjoy.

File folders of assignments from Mr. Gallant were given to students yesterday (Wednesday) and they need to be returned by Friday for 5 bonus homework points in math

Math (7 ABJ) - finish sheet 5-6 and the next quiz will be Tuesday on mixed number addition and subtraction of fractions

Science (7 AB) - finish lab report sheet and possible small quiz on Tuesday/ Wednesday on conduction, convection, and radiation

Now that your short stories are completed, it is time to begin an independant novel study.

If you are still having dificulties (technical or otherwise) with your short story please come see me at lunch hour on Thursday. The deadline for the short story is by end of day Thursday.

For the weeks preceding Christmas break, please come to class prepared with a novel of interest to you. Bring it to me to approve it. Once you have selected your book, we will work on various chapter driven activities throughout the novel, and later, some complete novel work.

Next Gym day is Friday

Students that brought back their computer forms signed so that they could bring home their netbooks are coming home tonight with their netbooks in a carry case. They should keep their cords to charge their computers at home and charge them every night.

Math - 7B & 7J have a quiz tomorrow and 7A has no homework
Science - lab reports due Thursday and their is a quiz on Friday (review Thursday)

Language Arts -

7A and 7B - Be certain you have finished your letter for the Great Canadian Mail Race. If you have not, please complete it. It needs to be dropped into the student drop box. Remember to have your name in the document name, examples: Molly letter, James great canadian, etc.

7B - We will continue to discuss The Lottery by Shirley Jackson. The next assignment is writing your own short story. Each short story will need 2-3 characters. Think about a short story topic. Come prepared with a few ideas for next class.
